Very nice. Simple useless tips. Except that sandwich vs. layered construction. Very interesting.

Yo NS thanks for the feedback!

Interesting to hear about how to repair cracked edges. I wish the chair would have been long enough to discuss that issue. Here's our take for that fix.

Naturally, if you're riding rails and boxes you will crack your edges. Some of this is credited to the impact on edge and also to the rapid heating and cooling of the edges. Either produce a similar result. Boarders don't see it as much cause they get away with riding flat base on most obstacles as when we get on rails, we edge against them for pretzels and whatnot. The best way we've found to repair a cracked edge is to replace the segment. A company called Sun Valley Ski Tools offers edge replacement kits that most shops buy from. Its a pack that contains whatever length edge and small screws that then enable the tech to remove the edge thats damaged, screw in the replacement and repair the removed base and sidewall areas that have been effected. If you go too long with cracked edges, it will inevitably allow water to seep into the ski construction and swell the core. This issue is even more sensitive with cap skis cause you don't have a sidewall to work with. A quick fix on your own is also to just epoxy the area where the crack has occurred but over time, that epoxy will crack out and you'll be repairing more often then less. The edge segment repair is a sure fix to extend the life of your sticks.

Stay tuned as we got a few edits in the can the other day on touring and how to apply skis as well a rocker seg which was super fun to shoot. Thanks for keeping a positive vibe and stoked to have your support.
