Anchor System for the huge Swing

Looks pretty heavy duty. How big was the swing? 80 ft +?

why dont you use the bowline knot? I thought it was the strongest knot you could tie

zhe ropes were about about 35-40m (110-130ft) +30% of rope stretch...makes a 45-52m (135-160ft)swing!

we used the bowline at the harness + a grigri

and at the anchor system we used clove hitchs and 8-knoghts for protection (the 8s were not under tension)

very cool, i would love to learn this stuff for suspensions

looks pretty complicated...why not just double up the rope, double figure 8 to the anchor, then backed up with a pussic?

cause...

when the double figure 8 gets under tension a several times u cant open it anymore! u need to cut it off...
