How do you go alley oop when you can't turn into the qp?

A simple alley-oop is basically a 180 with more than 180 degrees of spin... You spin the opposite way of the direction you are going. If it's a very large QP its possible to alley-oop. But only if you're not hitting it straight on... Anyone disagreeing?
