It took me a bit of time in adobe photoshop, after effects and premiere. Take a frame from a video clip you want to use. In photoshop, use the lasso to select different aspects of the shot, and make them into new layers. Open the file in after effects as a composition, and select the toggle which makes the layers 3-d (this gives you the ability to pull them forwards or back, giving the allusion of 3-d). Using simple keyframes bring the different layers into the frame at different times. once they are all there, put in the original clip starting from the time you pulled the frame from originally. That's just how I did it, there is probably a lot of different ways (and programs) of going about it though.
